WHY DESIGN IS AS IMPORTANT AS PROMOTION

Design a Quality Website
Is your Website a quality site? Or should you need some details
for your website..Below are some of the factors you might
consider to have a quality website.
1. Fonts What is the font you use in your website? Is it a
default font or a font, which is user friendly to the visitors?
Some of the fonts are good for Print but might not suit well for
a Web page. Think about the font before building a Website.
2. Color Colors in a Website play a major role too. Because of
the way eyes work, darker colors tend to bleed light colors.
Carefully choose your background color and foreground colors for
your Website.
3. Punctuation and Capitalization Imagine reading a couple of
sentences without any punctuation or capitalization. Visitors
get frustrated if they have to read a long sentence without any
punctuation.
4. Structure and Layout Is your website layout clean and the
structure of the website. Can anyone access your website or just
for Mac/IE users. Structure your website so that everyone can
view your site.
5.Updated Pages/ Fresh Content Having an entire Website worth of
content on one page. Readers give up long before they come to
the footer. It is helpful to split the content into different
pages and users wont appreciate the wait downloading text they
already
read
6. Broken Links Broken links makes your Website look out of
date, so check your link if it works properly. It is better to
use a link checker and find out the broken links. It is also
useful for the spiders to crawl the site easily
7. Huge Images Think about modem users. Huge images can cause
them to cancel the loading of a page before the first line.
Think about what is important, the message you want to convey or
the Image. Some of the sites needs image but not all sites want
a huge image in the Home page
8. Good Navigation Bar
9. Check for Server Errors on a regular basis
10. Is your Website Printer Friendly? Consider building your
site printer friendly.
